The need is real...
Sadly many students in our community cannot afford basic school supplies. In the classroom, books and other supplies can be scarce or nonexistent. Teachers must use personal funds to obtain necessary supplies that parents and strained school budgets cannot provide. Meanwhile, every business in South Central Indiana routinely discards surplus office supplies, computers, books, art and craft materials, containers, organizing bins, and more! Our students and teachers desperately need these things and businesses would much prefer to have them used effectively.
The concept is simple:
Surplus items from businesses and individuals are gathered by Teachers Warehouse and offered at no charge to public school teachers from South Central Indiana for use in their classrooms.
Wish lists include...
basic tools (pens, pencils, rulers, etc), art supplies (from crayons and markers to fabric and wallpaper samples), and classroom equipment (clocks, storage, furniture) View our Current Needs and contact us if you're interested in donating.
